We went out for a meal at the Old Plough in Braunston last night and once again the food was excellent. We were chatting with the land lady and she was telling us that everything is prepared in her kitchens from local ingredients – it certainly shows.
We walked up to the shop with the dogs this morning to pick up the papers before heading off for a leisurely cruise to Calcutt where we moored up outside Ventnor Farm marina. We had a mooring at Ventnor for just over a year before we set off on our continuous cruise. The marina has now changed hands, it is now owned by Castle Marinas. Castle also owns Wigrams Turn marina situated about a mile away from Ventnor.
Weather permitting, we will head off up the Stockton locks in the morning.
