Today: 3 miles, 0 locks. Total distance: 2002 miles. Total locks: 1361
Pulled the pins at around 12:00 and headed up to Newbold. Stopped off at the water point beside Tesco in Rugby to top the tank up.
Now moored up again in the same spot that I was moored at last week, good 3g mobile reception here, reception not so good just a matter of feet away.
It was a lovely day so after mooring, I programmed up the GPS with a nice 5.5 mile circular walk across the fields taking in the village of Harborough Magna on the way. Stopped for a quick look in the lovely Harborough Magna village church, photo below.
The tow path just north of Newbold is in a terrible state, four inches of mud in places, glad I had my wellies on!!
Just noticed that I passed the 2000 mile mark today since moving onto the boat.
