Quite a busy day today. We were up early and set off at around 07:00.
We met a hire boat at the top of the Caen flight and they asked if it was OK if the accompanied us down the flight. They had a crew of 6 on board so were more than welcome to travel down with us. All in all, we covered the 3 miles and 29 locks in just under 5 hours. Without having the bodies on the hire boat to help with the flight, we think it would have taken an extra hour or more to get down the flight on our own.
We moored up at lunch time and decided to call it a day as we didn’t feel like moving on after eating and having a rest.
After a frosty start, the weather has been beautiful today.
