We have spent the last couple of days around the Rickmansworth area, there are some lovely walks near by.
It is also only a short walk from Stockers lock to the main road where there is a bus stop (route 5 & 6 ) that takes you into Watford town centre.
There is also a tube station and a main line station in Rickmansworth town centre, again, only about half a mile or so from the canal. I guess that it is because of the access to transport and the town that moorings in the area can be difficult to find, there are lots of ‘long term’ moorers in this area.
