The cold weather continues.

The forecast is for even colder weather over the coming few days so yesterday we decided we should go and fill up with water in case we get totally iced in.

Had to use a pole to break the ice around the boat in order to get away from the mooring. The engine stalled just as we were moving off into the ice. We had picked up a huge lump of weed and other rubbish on the prop and it was jammed solid. It took over twenty minute down the weed hatch to remove it. By the time it was off, I had lost all feeling in my right arm due to the icy water, my arm is still tingling 24 hours later. Anyway, we managed to get to the water point and back without too much trouble so the weather can do what it likes now.

We walked to Camden markets the other day to take a look at Banksy’s new work there – some photos below. Was dismayed to find that they now charge to use the public toilets in the Camden market complex – 40 pence a go, it’s ridiculous.
