Thursday 26th July 2007 Location: Barbridge, Cheshire Today: 10 miles, 2 lock. Total distance: 294 miles. Total locks: 258 Wet, wet, wet. Wandered into the village for the papers etc. this morning. Over cast but dry. Decided to move on at around 08:30 as we were getting low on water. OK for the first half hour or so, got through the locks dry then the rain started and didn’t stop until just after we moored up at around 14:00. Constant heavy rain!! Moored up in a nice peaceful spot on the Shropshire Union canal Middlewich branch. We are now heading east and the weather forecast tells us that the rain is also moving eats. Following us ??? Passed the entry onto the Llangollen canal, must visit the Llangollen sometime out of season and when the weather is better. It's a very popular canal and will be busy at the moment.
