Slight change of plan. Had a call with my son Glenn shortly after setting off this morning, unfortunately he is unable to visit tomorrow due to final year university exams. As there is now no need to be in Harlow tomorrow, we decided to moor up at Roydon and have a look around.
We met a boat at Brick Lock, photo below. It is all electric, relying on solar panels and a bank of batteries to drive the electric motor. The owner said that it only does around 1.5 MPH but it can run for fifteen hours on a fully charged set of batteries and longer on a sunny day.
