The weather forecast predicted heavy rain starting around 13:00 so we set off early to climb up through the 17 locks that take you out of Stratford. We had a pleasant trip up the locks and arrived at Wilmcote at 13:00 – just as the rain started!!!
The weather forecast has been right for once, it’s been raining since we moored!!!
Well, we had a very pleasant week on the Avon, well worth the visit. As it turned out, we could have managed on a 7 day license as there are not that many places to stop and visit along the way and most of the moorings are 24 hours only.
