Sunday 19th April 2009 Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire, South Oxford Canal Today: 2 miles, 2 locks. Total distance: 2073 miles. Total locks: 1400 A lovely day today weather wise. Pulled the pins around 11:00 and headed on towards Oxford. Stopped briefly at the water point just south of Thrupp to top up the tank. Quite a few boats out and about this morning, many of them holiday boats from Oxford Cruisers. Moored up just south of Kidlington Green lock. Had intended to go all the way on down into Oxford but decided to wait until tomorrow as there will be a better chance of finding a mooring close to the city centre on a Monday I suspect. UPDATE: Went for a nice 5 mile circular walk across the fields to the village of Yarnton - GPS track here and some photos below. A lovely afternoon with mostly clear blue skies. Current Mooring
