A hot day today – and a fairly long one as well.
Pete on coal boat Bletchley passed just before we were about to pull the pins so we filled up with diesel at the very reasonable price of 70p per litre – one of the marinas we passed earlier today was charging 79p.
Had to go down the weed hatch again today – crap on the prop brought the boat to a standstill.
No oil pressure problems – fingers cross that this time it is sorted ???
Had a good run down the Atherstone flight, my trainee crew member brought the boat down through the last 5 locks and did a very good job of it – I will soon be redundant!!!
