Woke up to rain today – heavy at times. It eased off around lunch time so we made the decision to head off up the Wolverhampton flight – a good decision as the rain stopped and the temperature was ideal for working the locks.
Lots of weed on the Birmingham Main Line canal making progress slow due to constantly fouled prop. Went down the weed hatch after mooring up and cleared an amazing amount of weed from the prop but it will be as bad as ever after the first hundred yards or so tomorrow.
