After a quick trip into Tewkesbury town to pick up a few bits and pieces, we pulled the pins and headed up river.
Thoughts so far are that the River Avon is much nicer than the River Severn, much more picturesque. On the Severn, the countryside is obscured by high river banks, this is not the case on the Avon.
Stopped at Pershore and went for a wander into the town – well worth a visit.
It has been raining now for the last two hours – I don’t like rivers and rain – it brings back memories of 15 nights stuck on the Severn when it flooded 3 years ago – fingers crossed!!!
